Boroughbridge Pottery

Visible Remains: None

Access: none

Hall Arm Lane, Aldborough.

A large deposit (approx 6m long) of dark earth containing fragments of fired clay, possible tile 'wasters' and abundant unused pottery, many examples of a very limited range, types including wasters, suggestive of a kiln site nearby. The pottery is of Trajanic to early Hadrianic date and the types produced suggest a nearby military site, possibly the fort which may have preceded Isurium Roman town
